Ever since I was small, I used to watch many English movies. By watching
those movies, I thought that Americans are people, who are friendly,
generous, and tolerant. but all that assumptions changed when one day I
heard my dad's conversation with his friend. according to him, an American
in his office is very arrogant and not friendly at all. My dad was telling
that the guy thinks that he is so intelligent thus he look down at the
other employees as if they are not good enough. when I heard about it, I
thought that not all Americans are friendly, generous and tolerant. some
of them are in the opposite way. this is one of the media stereotype that
I have experienced.

Not all Americans are arrogant as you said. Since they are the directors and producers of most english movies, they prefer to potray themselves as good people. But in reality, they are a mixture as well. Some of the Americans that i know are really polite and friendly indeed.

I agree with Thiva. People all over the world, not only Americans are made up with different kinds of people from different backgrounds. There is no way we can label certain race or nationality as bad or good because there are good and bad in everything.
