Journalist are people who letting know about world issues, sport news and gossip. They always write from fact. Besides, they do research before writting. Bloggers are people who are share their infomation and lifestyle. They always write based on their opinion. Bloggers and journalist always do the same job. But journalist get paid from their company. Both of them always letting know some infomation and important news.

The word “blogger” means Any person who expresses themselves via online media. The term has been stretched to mean not just writers of blogs, but people who post comments on other blogs, photobloggers, show up at blogger dinners uninvited. the word "journalist" means collecting, writing, editing, and presenting of news or news articles in newspapers and magazines and in radio and television broadcasts. They are two different things. Bloggers has felt free to express themselves, air opinions and promote themselves - and, by extension, their products and services. It’s that olden, golden rule; by positioning oneself as a figure of authority on a subject, it seems that halo can also envelop one’s products and services. Something most consultants know and do well. But journalists disadvantaged because they have a code of ethics and rules to follow. so as a conclusion bloogers and journalists are different from each other..

From my point of view, bloggers always write about their lifestyle. They also will write about their opinion about any issuse. Journalist always will write about fact and real issues. They must do some research before write any issues. They are working because it's their job. Therefore, blogger always will post as their hobbies. They have similar works.

In my opinion, bloggers are not journalist. A journalist delivers facts and true news to the society. They cannot freely write their own opinions. They have to do research about a matter before they publishing it. Journalists are also bound to certain rules and limits. Whereas bloggers usually write stuffs which are based on their own opinion. This cannot be taken into count because it is not a fact therefore it is not accurate. Besides, things that is written by a journalist can be used as a reference as well. Journalists words are also reliable and appropriate for the society when it is compared to bloggers who do not have limit in usage of words.

A journalist collects and disseminates information about current events, people, trends, and issues. His or her work is acknowledged as journalism. While a blogger is a person who writes Weblogs.So for me, the journalist and blogger is a writer, but have different characteristics. For a journalist they will make a detailed study or reseach first on what they will write before disseminate to the public.This differs from a blogger, they tend to write whatever comes to mind without making any prior study or research and sometimes what is written by a blogger can trigger the anger of the public.

Are Bloggers Journalists?

In my opinion, I don't think bloggers are journalists. Journalists find, collect and disseminate information about current events and issues. Usually what they found and let out to the public are more about general issues and are facts. On the other hand, bloggers are different because it is more personal. Bloggers write what they feel or think about on a certain event or issue and this differs with each and every blogger. Journalists are bound to a set of rules as they cannot simply write just about anything or how they want it. For example, they cannot be bias or insert foul language as it is to serve the public good. Bloggers, however, they have the freedom of speech but at the same time they shouldn't go overboard. I agree that bloggers should be legally protected but only for those who are serious bloggers. If the privilege is given to all bloggers, then it is unfair to the journalists because they can't express freely like bloggers do and yet bloggers are protected. Then, it would seem that there is no difference between a journalist and a blogger, which in fact, they do work in different ways.

Are Bloggers Journalist?

Bloggers is as similar as journalists where their sole purpose is to communicate. However, the writings are treated differently. Bloggers may freely express their feelings, judgement, and opinion while journalists are highly burdened with authority guidelines, ethics, and laws. I believe that it was all started when the society had enough of the conventional journalism that is heavily influenced by politics. That is when people start to look for alternative sources of information and it so happens that the internet comes into use. These days, some bloggers are even more influential than the conventional journalists regardless of their background and credibility on the subject matter. There are many cases where bloggers claimed they should be protected under journalism law after being sued. It is simple to say that, they shall be protected as long as they assume responsibility of their writings and that includes proper research and investigation to avoid inaccuracy which could cost a lot of money. The intellectuality of journalism should be protected. As much as bloggers want to believe that they are journalists, they have a lot more to learn, especially ethics of writing and way of working.

Journalist is a person who collect information by doing some research and spread all those information as news to the society. Journalist carries a big responsibility on their hand. They have certain limits to follow when they are disseminating news. They must be presenting the information in a formal way. They also have to use correct language with good grammars. Meanwhile bloggers are the one who disseminate news in a different way than a journalist. Bloggers have a lot more freedom to write about what they want. They don't have any conditions to follow. They also can blog in anyway(formal ; informal). Hence in my opinion, bloggers are journalist too but in a different way since both bloggers and journalist functions to disseminate news. The difference is that the responsibility that they carry. Journalist have a big responsibility compared to the blogger who have more freedom to disseminate news.
